On the first day rain forced the players from the field at 12.13pm with an early lunch being taken but play could not resume until 2pm
The rain returned at 3.30pm so an early tea break was taken although play could not resume until 4.10pm
On the second day rain meant play started 75 minutes late at 12.15pm
Further rain ended play at 5.10pm on the second day
To enable the Auckland Plunket Shield selector to evaluate all 3 wicket-keepers playing in the match, EC Petrie kept wicket in the early stages of the Auckland Country Associations second innings and effected the stumping of BN Graham
Auckland Town Clubs had 145 minutes to score 112 to win the match outright and reached their target in the penultimate over
