Rain severely restricted play on the first day after the match had started at 11.47am
Rain stopped play at 1.32pm for 13 minutes but after only 27 minutes further play the rain returned with a further 4 hours and 30 minutes being lost
Rain forced the players from the field at 6pm on the second day meaning the match had to be abandoned with Nelson only 18 runs short of achieving a first innings lead
