Notes
--> Day 3 Lunch: Hutt Valley (2) 185/2 (Nevin ?*, Hainsworth ?*)
--> Day 3 Tea: Hutt Valley (2) 283/8 (Mochan 11*, Rotch 1*; 92 overs)
JB McLean had to leave the field after bowling 1 ball of his 4th over in Hutt Valley second innings late on the second day with M Burns completing the over
The bowling figures in the New Zealand Cricket Almanack and the newspaper source both had McLean bowling 30 overs and Burns bowling 18 overs in the Hutt Valley second innings but McLean probably bowled 29.1 overs and Burns 17.5 overs
Nelson had 43 overs to score 104 to win the match outright but after just 9 balls had been bowled the Nelson batsmen successfully appealed against the light and as the players left the field the rain started to fall with the match being abandoned at 5.25pm
